| COMMUNICATION, SUPPORT, AND ADVOCACY | ||
AMWUA and AMWUA member staffs constantly exchange information and professional expertise with federal, state, and local governments; organizations and associations; and businesses. This ongoing communication ensures that these groups are aware of the efforts and interests of the AMWUA members, allows staff to identify and address issues and concerns, and provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with other professionals and leaders in the community to manage our water resources as effectively and efficiently as possible. AMWUA and AMWUA member staffs serve in work groups and advisory committees, attend conferences, participate in stakeholder meetings, and play an active role in coordinated planning efforts. Some examples: Participation in the development of and modifications to the conservation requirements for the Management Plan of the Groundwater Management Code. WaterSense will also recognize professional service programs that incorporate water efficiency.
