Arizona Senate Room One of the major, general functions of AMWUA is advocacy on behalf of its members. AMWUA's advocacy function involves efforts to continue, and to enhance, the process of developing a comprehensive, municipal water legislative agenda in order to advance the rational and effective development and use of water resources within the state and to position cities and towns in the forefront of water resources policy development and planning.  Arizona House Room In the context of the Arizona State Legislature, the advocacy function includes the preparation and distribution of the AMWUA Water Policy Resolutions and Issue Papers and the AMWUA Legislative Summary, updated weekly during the legislative session.
