LANDSCAPE PLANTS FOR THE ARIZONA DESERT

 for

S H R U B S

The differences in size, form, texture, and flower color of shrubs allows them to be used for many landscape purposes. Select shrubs with a variety of flower colors and blooming periods to provide seasonal impact; or use them as accents, for borders or hedges, for screening, or even in containers. As with trees, select shrubs carefully, according to their use and mature size. Be sure there is enough space for the mature height and width of the shrubs you want to grow. Most shrubs have attractive, natural shapes, so very little pruning or shearing is needed.
